Within the SAP system of setting policy, implementation and maintenance, the most important section is the process of second round development of the original system modules, which is based on the actual requirements of different industries. In other words, to make SAP R/3 satisfy a specific industry's business needs, we must utilize the tools provided by the R/3 system (including language tools) to proceed with different kinds of programming, user-interface and flow design.

SAP provides a strong development platform, which includes the ABAP/4 language environment and toolset, for SAP programmers to use in project implementation process.  Mastering these tools, particularly the ABAP language, is the prerequisite of SAP system development, and realizing enterprise business.

When installing the SAP system, it must come with its own development environment – ABAP Workbench.  Not only does it provide various system developments, upgrade tools, it also includes a system design language – ABAP/4. In this way during the process of system development and maintenance, there is no need to use third-party tools.  Also the business users can use that platform for system upgrades independently, thereby saving cost.

The full descriptive name of ABAP/4 is Advanced Business Application Programming.  SAP initially developed ABAP/4 for internal use, to provide enhanced working environment for the application programmers.  Nowadays, ABAP/4 has already become the essential tool for the development work of SAP.

SAP Clients use ABAP/4 their own development, which is very important for R/3 standard solutions for specific problems.  ABAP/4 development workbench includes all tools used for building and maintaining ABAP/4 programs.

The illustrative characteristic of ABAP/4 makes it easy to build, test and operate mid-versions of program, in order to produce the final versions.  This process is also called early-stage original handling, meaning you do not have to abandon the mid-versions.ABAP/4 is the 4th-generation that supports structural programming design language. It combines all common structural control and modularized concepts.

As a private and dedicated network, VPN can maintain resource independency between lower level receiving networks.  Under normal circumstances, VPN resources would not be utilized by receiving network's other VPN or non-VPN users. On the other hand, VPN provides for sufficient safety, ensuring internal VPN data would not be external attacks, and guaranteeing the data security during the course of development.

When our Clients have ABAP development requirements, we will research and analyse these requirements, produce a Functional Specification, and use it to reduce misunderstanding from the Clients.  After the Clients review and accept the Functional Specification, we then proceed with detailed design and programming.  After the programming is completed, we will conduct unit-testing, through many test-cases, and produce test reports for the Clients.  Clients can further confirm the developed functionalities can indeed meet their requirements, so that we can guarantee the quality of development.  After the integration test is passed, the Clients receive our test report.  And after the Clients accept our delivery, the project is then closed.

In addition, after the system is online (Go Live), we would continue to meet the Clients' requirement, and provide post delivery suppot.
